Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Industrial Engineering Manager to drive medium to large scale process improvements in manufacturing, lead ramp-up efforts, and improve product manufacturability and ease of assembly.

The role spans DFx inputs, line development, lean practices, capacity planning and six sigma across production floors. You will manage an IE team, coordinate cross-functional projects, and partner with data analytics to measure factory performance and implement

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering (IE/EE/ME)
• 6+ years of continuous improvement experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to lead multiple projects and teams
• Experience with SAP, SAP HANA, Snowflake, O9 and data tools

Responsibilities

• Lead IE team and manage performance
• Understand production schedules and specs
• Lead IE projects to improve throughput, efficiency and quality
• Motivate and manage direct reports and cross-functional teams
• Identify bottlenecks and drive cost-saving initiatives
• Contribute to SIOP processes and capacity planning
• Provide DFx input to improve assembly/serviceability
• Analyze labor costs and implement process improvements
• Design and layout manufacturing facilities and workflows
• Lead time studies to establish work standards
• Mentor and develop the team
• Collaborate with BU IE managers and data-science teams
• Evaluate and implement new software/tools where beneficial
