Job summary

Tailscale is seeking a Product Manager to own the Identity portfolio, bridging security protocols with a seamless user experience. You will shape authentication, authorization, and lifecycle management across the tailnet, working with admins, developers, and cross-functional teams.

You will partner with engineering, product, and design to ensure the identity service meets broader platform needs, while emphasizing security and user-centric design.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years in product management, with identity product ownership.
• Strong fluency in identity protocols: OIDC, SAML, SCIM, WebAuthn, OAuth.
• Experience shipping products for developers or security-focused users.

Responsibilities

• Own vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Identity portfolio.
• Model admin UX: configure providers, audit events, and manage access at scale.
• Build best-in-class authentication experiences for end users.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and design to integrate identity across platforms.
• Translate customer feedback into roadmap priorities.
