Job summary

Science Museum of Minnesota in Saint Paul leads the IDEAL Center within the Center for STEM Education, guiding equity-centered facilitation and workforce, school, and community work. This role reports to the Director and fosters growth of IDEAL programs, staff, and client partnerships across sectors.

The position oversees senior and project leaders, drives strategic plans, and ensures grant-funded work aligns with funder guidelines while expanding SMM’s interactive STEM learning portfolio.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of professional development programs and staff.
• Experience with grant writing and program development for diverse audiences.
• Ability to read and apply academic ideas to practice in STEM education.

Responsibilities

• Lead IDEAL Center strategic planning and annual goals.
• Supervise IDEAL staff and develop their performance and growth.
• Develop partnerships with external clients and funders to expand the IDEAL Center.
• Oversee contracts, budgets, and program development in Lifelong Learning.
