Job summary

West Bay RI is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with IDD in their homes and community, promoting independence and inclusion. The role requires following care plans, documenting progress, and maintaining training.

Shifts include various full-time schedules in Cranston, Johnston, and Warwick, RI. The position offers a competitive rate of $24.00 per hour with a $1 weekend differential and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License with good driving background.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years experience as a Direct Support Professional or Milieu Therapist.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with informed decision making to enable positive outcomes with activities of daily living including personal care, household chores; health maintenance and relationship facilitation.
• Promote social opportunities and community inclusion for the individuals.
• Follow care plans, including proper administration of medications; monitor and document status and progress.
• Maintain required training (Safety Care, CPR/AED/1st Aid; HIPAA; Human Rights) and uphold agency values.
