Job summary

Imagine! in Colorado is seeking a dedicated Residential Community Counselor to support individuals with IDD in living meaningful, self-directed lives.

You will work with a team across home, work, and community settings, providing personal care, skills coaching, and help with transportation, health appointments, and community activities. A valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of the Colorado developmental disabilities system.
• Ability to build authentic relationships with professional boundaries.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in homes, workplaces, and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships and support personal goals and independence.
• Assist with activities of daily living and health appointments.
• Support employment, volunteering, and community participation.
• Follow individualized support plans and report changes.
• Complete documentation and comply with policies.
• Collaborate in a team with flexible shifts and professionalism.
