Nue Beginnings Residence Home, Inc. in Austell GA is seeking experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide essential care and supervision for adults with IDD in a residential setting.

This full-time dayshift position runs 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM with alternating weekends. The role emphasizes compassionate care, safety, and detailed documentation to meet individual service plans and behavior supports. Training opportunities are provided, and the employer is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Direct Support Professional experience.
• Experience supporting individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).
• Experience managing physical aggression and behavioral challenges.
• Experience providing total care including bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, transfers, and mobility assistance.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during crisis situations.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification preferred.
• Mindset Training Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and overnight supervision.
• Implement Individual Service Plans (ISP) and Behavior Support Plans (BSP).
• Complete safety checks and required documentation.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Respond appropriately to medical, behavioral, and emergency situations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
