Job summary

RHA Health Services in Thomasville, GA is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (IDD LPN) for days on-site. This full-time role offers a consistent 7am–7pm schedule and a pay rate of $32 per hour, with full-time benefits.

You will provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, document care, coordinate medical services, and support the Interdisciplinary Team in a compliant, respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program.
• Current LPN license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
• Current CPR Certification or eligibility to certify for CPR.
• Possess credentials required by Federal or State law.
• Must communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members and families.
• Must be able to work independently, stay organized and prioritize tasks.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Observe, assist with gathering health data and report needs to the RN.
• Coordinate preventative and routine medical care for the people supported.
• Document nursing care provided.
• Assist physicians with on-site medical clinics where applicable.
• Provide health-related trainings to unlicensed personnel according to state regulations.
• Conduct medication pass observations to ensure staff competency.
• Conduct medication closest assessments.
• Perform quality assurance checks to ensure unlicensed personnel perform health tasks as assigned.
• Observe for abnormal health findings and report to the physician.
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Advocate for the people supported and develop community supports to promote health.
