River Edge Behavioral Health in Macon, GA is seeking a qualified professional to join the Crisis Service and Diagnostic Center. The role involves conducting mental health assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing crisis intervention for adults with IDD/BH diagnoses.

You will coordinate referrals to housing and community resources, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and help maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, Counseling, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Minimum two years of experience in behavioral health, IDD, or related services is required.
• Strong computer skills are required.

Program Overview:

The Crisis Service and Diagnostic Center is a program designed to offer individual tailored assistance and brief (up to 90-day) stabilization for a maximum of sixteen (16) adults aged 18 and above, who have intellectual or developmental disabilities and/or concurrent IDD/BH diagnoses. These individuals are facing psychiatric challenges and/or significant emotional/behavioral changes that are impacting on their essential functions, potentially jeopardizing their ability to stay in their usual home environment.
