Job summary

Direct Support Professional position at UCP of Eastern CT in Old Saybrook, CT. This full-time, first-shift role runs Monday–Friday, 8:45am–4:30pm and focuses on community engagement, skill-building, and supporting participants with IDD in a safe, person-centered environment.

You will help with hygiene, meals, mobility, documentation, and collaboration with a compassionate team to promote dignity and independence for individuals we serve.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Six months to two years related experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and community participation.
• Ensure health, safety, and confidentiality of individuals.
• Support hygiene, meals, and mobility as needed.
• Transport participants to programs and appointments.
• Document progress using electronic systems.
