Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Eastern CT In-Home Supports Program in Groton, CT is hiring a Direct Support Professional. This full-time role supports adults with IDD to live, work, and thrive in their communities. Hours are Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11am–7pm, with ongoing training and competitive benefits.

Join a person-centered team that emphasizes dignity, coaching, and safety. You will assist with daily living activities, transportation, and documentation while promoting independence and growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Six months to two years related experience is desired but not required.
• Current driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
• Ability to pass background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to clients, helping them reach individual goals.
• Assist with independent living skills like budgeting, shopping, and meal planning.
• Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments and community activities.
• Collaborate with families, case managers, and other team members to align supports with IPs.
