Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in Ridgway, PA seeks a County Intellectual Disabilities Specialist 2, Supports Coordination Organization (SCO) Director to lead coordination of intellectual disabilities programs in residential and community settings. You will build strong ties with families, providers and coworkers while improving local services.

As SCO Director, you will guide staff, monitor performance, address concerns, and ensure high-quality programs.

Qualifications

• One year as a County Intellectual Disabilities Program Specialist 1; or
• Three years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelors degree; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Program Oversight: Guide daily activities of the Supports Coordination Organization and ensure all functions operate smoothly
• Staff Leadership: Supervise assigned staff and support their development and performance
• Provider Support: Assist providers by addressing concerns, reviewing performance, and supporting corrective action plans
• Quality Review: Conduct monitoring activities, analyze findings, and act on results to improve program operations
• Documentation Management: Maintain organized records in both paper charts and electronic systems
• Community Coordination: Collaborate with administrators, teams, and agencies to support shared initiatives and resolve issues
