Job summary
UF Health Gainesville is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Diseases and Antimicrobial Stewardship. Lead optimization of antimicrobial therapy and collaborate with ID physicians, microbiology, nursing, and pharmacy to improve patient outcomes.
The role involves audit/feedback, pharmacokinetic monitoring, and education for healthcare staff, with opportunities for research and teaching. Full-time clinical coverage with on-call rotations and holiday coverage are included.
Qualifications
- Pharmacist license in Florida or eligible for the same.
- PharmD or equivalent education from ACPE-accredited school.
- PGY2 residency or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support antimicrobial stewardship and infectious diseases clinical services.
- Participate in prospective audit and feedback and utilization reviews.
- Monitor pharmacokinetics and optimize anti-infective therapy.
- Provide clinical consults, guideline implementation, and education.
- Contribute to quality improvement, protocol development, and research.
