Job summary

Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers in Brandon, FL seeks a Veterinary Technician for its ICU team. You will work with boarded specialists, ER doctors, and ICU staff to provide compassionate care during critical moments.

In this fast-paced role, you’ll monitor vital signs, assist with emergency procedures, and communicate with pet owners. A CVT/LVT/RVT certification is preferred, and ICU experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CVT/LVT/RVT certification preferred.
• Previous ICU experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients’ vital signs in emergency/ICU settings.
• Assist veterinarians with triage, wound care, and life-saving interventions.
• Administer medications, treatments and injections as prescribed.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for emergency procedures.
• Collect and process laboratory samples (blood work, urinalysis).
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
• Communicate with pet owners about conditions, treatments, and progress.
• Keep the workspace organized and well-stocked.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff in a fast-paced environment.
