Job summary

Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers in Brandon, FL seeks a Veterinary Technician for its ICU team. You will work with boarded specialists, ER doctors, and ICU staff to provide compassionate care during critical moments.

In this fast-paced role, you’ll monitor vital signs, assist with emergency procedures, and communicate with pet owners. A CVT/LVT/RVT certification is preferred, and ICU experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CVT/LVT/RVT certification preferred.
• Previous ICU experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients’ vital signs in emergency/ICU settings.
• Assist veterinarians with triage, wound care, and life-saving interventions.
• Administer medications, treatments and injections as prescribed.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for emergency procedures.
• Collect and process laboratory samples (blood work, urinalysis).
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care.
• Communicate with pet owners about conditions, treatments, and progress.
• Keep the workspace organized and well-stocked.
• Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff in a fast-paced environment.

Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is family-owned veterinary hospital and we are seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our ICU team in Brandon, Florida. We are passionate about delivering high‑quality and compassionate care to pets during their most critical moments. As a Veterinary Technician in this fast‑paced environment, you will work closely with a talented team of boarded specialists, ER doctors and ICU team to provide exceptional care to pets in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients’ vital signs and overall condition in an emergency and critical care setting
• Assist veterinarians with emergency procedures, including triage, wound care, and life‑saving interventions
• Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed by the veterinary team
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies required for emergency procedures
• Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood work and urinalysis
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets’ conditions, treatments, and progress
• Support the team by keeping the workspace organized and well‑stocked
• Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff in a high‑energy environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT), preferred
• Previous experience in ICU is required.
