Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers in Brandon, FL is seeking a Veterinary Technician for our ICU team. You will work closely with boarded specialists, ER doctors, and ICU staff to deliver high-quality critical care to hospitalized pets.

Candidates should have ICU experience, be CVT/LVT/RVT certified or eligible, and be skilled in monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and communicating with pet owners during emergency treatment.

Qualifications

• ICU experience and ability to monitor patients in emergency settings.
• CVT/LVT/RVT certification preferred; high school diploma required.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition in an emergency and critical care setting
• Assist veterinarians with emergency procedures, including triage, wound care, and life-saving interventions
• Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed by the veterinary team
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies required for emergency procedures
• Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood work and urinalysis
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care
• Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' conditions, treatments, and progress
• Support the team by keeping the workspace organized and well-stocked
• Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff in a high-energy environment
