Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Unit Secretary for the Medical ICU in Glenview, IL. This full-time role supports patient flow, coordinates non-clinical duties, and ensures accurate entry of charge information.

Shifts are 7:00 am to 7:30 pm with rotating weekends. Education required: high school diploma with at least 2 years of work experience; one year of college with related experience preferred. Join a large system focused on delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate with a minimum 2 years of work experience required.
• Experience: One year of college with one year of work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate non-clinical duties by facilitating the multiple unit activities that affect patient flow and organization.
• Responsible for accurate entry of charge information, timely notification of patient movement information to admitting and transport.
• Orders and maintains supplies.
• This position is highly visible with significant interaction between patients, families, nurses, physicians, other departments, support personnel and visitors.
• Proactively identifies the need for service recovery and notifies Concierge Services (non-clinical) and Unit Manager (Clinical) as appropriate, to initiate tracking and resolution.
