Job summary

NCH Healthcare System is seeking a Unit Secretary for the Intensive Care Unit in Naples, FL. This on-site, full-time role supports physicians, nurses and ancillary staff by processing orders and coordinating non-clinical unit activities.

The position requires basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and a high school diploma or GED. Responsibilities include managing patient records, coordinating admissions/discharges and helping with transfers as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and coordinates physician orders, enters nursing orders into PowerChart and maintains paper chart orders.
• Maintains supplies, prepares reports and keeps unit records under direction of charge nurse/manager.
• Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers including hospital transfers via ground, helicopter or air ambulance.
• Maintains patient records per policy, ensures forms are signed and complete.
