Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an ICU travel nurse in Simi Valley, CA for a 13-week assignment. The RN will work 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, in the ICU, providing direct patient care to critically ill patients and collaborating with the care team.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience, ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications. This travel role includes benefits and a tax-free stipend per assignment details.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests and interpret results.
• Collect samples for lab work and coordinate related tests.
• Monitor and adjust ICU equipment and read monitors.
• Ensure proper placement of catheters and tubing.
• Communicate patient conditions and changes to families.
