Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel assignment in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The role requires an active RN license, a nursing degree from an accredited program, BLS & ACLS, and at least 18 months of recent Acute Care ICU experience.

It offers 36 hours per week on 12-hour nights, a 13-week contract, travel reimbursement, private housing or housing allowance, and comprehensive benefits through MedPro.

Qualifications

Active RN license.
Degree from accredited nursing program.
BLS and ACLS certification.
Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting.
Other requirements to be determined by our client facility.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care and educate the patient's family.
Ensure life-support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes) functions properly.
Monitor heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress.
Administer medications, IVs, and insert catheters as needed.
Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
Assist in emergency nursing procedures for prompt changes in condition.
Perform CPR when required.
