Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The assignment requires an active RN license, a nursing degree from an accredited program, BLS and ACLS certification, and at least 18 months of recent ICU experience.

The role is a travel position with 13 weeks duration, 36 hours per week, and 12-hour night shifts. Benefits include weekly pay, housing options or reimbursement, health insurance, and a 401(k) plan,

Qualifications

Active RN license
Degree from an accredited nursing program
BLS & ACLS certification
Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting

Responsibilities

Provide patient care and educate the patient and family.
Ensure functioning of life-support equipment (ventilators, feeding tubes).
Monitor heart rate, blood pressure and respiration; detect signs of distress.
Administer medications, IVs and insert catheters as needed.
Meticulous documentation of medication administration.
Assist in emergency nursing procedures for prompt changes in condition.
Perform CPR accurately and effectively.
