Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Clinic ICU - Intensive Care Unit in Tampa, Florida. The role entails providing advanced nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma Center across inpatient and procedural settings, with a focus on high-acuity, trauma-related patients.

Requirements include FL DOH- or compact-state RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, and a minimum of two years in acute care, trauma, or emergency settings. 12-hour nights, 36 hours per week, staff employment.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN license (FL DOH) or compact state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care/trauma-critical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients across lifespan in high-acuity settings.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and respond to rapidly evolving conditions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans aligned with trauma standards.
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
