Job summary

Palmetto-General-Hospital seeks an experienced nurse to deliver high-level care to adult and geriatric patients in a telemetry/step-down environment. Qualifications

• Strong critical thinking in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Ability to work harmoniously with others
• Two years of nursing experience in Telemetry
• One year in Step Down unit
• Clinical competence and basic computer knowledge
• Graduate from an approved nursing program per NCSBN standards
• Basic arrhythmia skill or prior critical care experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced professional and technical nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations
• Participate in performance improvement to maintain quality of care
• Provide excellent customer service with a professional attitude
• May be required to work beyond regular hours or transfer to another unit as assigned
