Job summary

Palmetto General Hospital in Florida seeks an experienced RN for telemetry and step-down care. You will deliver advanced nursing care to adults and geriatrics, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and assist physicians during treatments.

Expect involvement in performance improvement and patient-centered care. The role requires 2 years in nursing with telemetry, 1 year in Step Down, Florida RN licensure, ACLS and BLS, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Strong critical thinking in a stressful fast-paced environment.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition.
• Work harmoniously with others and in multidisciplinary teams.
• Two years' nursing experience, specifically Telemetry.
• One year in Step Down unit.
• Clinical competence and patient-focused care.
• Basic computer knowledge for documentation.
• Graduate from an approved nursing program as defined by NCSBN.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced professional and technical nursing care to adults/geriatrics.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide age-appropriate care.
• Assist physicians during treatments and examinations.
• Plan, supervise, and instruct nursing staff and assistants.
• Participate in performance improvement to ensure quality care.
• Maintain professional attitude and deliver excellent customer service.
• Be able to handle emergencies and potentially work beyond regular hours.
