Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital seeks a Clinical Staff Nurse (RN) for 12-hour shifts in Los Angeles. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care using the Watson Model, working under the ICU Director's oversight and contributing to the hospital's mission and core values.

The role requires active nursing practice, strong clinical assessment, and timely communication with the care team. California nursing license, BLS/ACLS, and CPI training within 90 days are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Sciences degree preferred; ADN/ Diploma acceptable.
• Current California Nursing license is required.
• Basic EKG competence is required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates nursing process to assess and plan care for patients.
• Prioritizes and organizes patient care, ensuring follow-through.
• Maintains therapeutic nurse/patient relationships and conducts hourly rounding.
• Communicates with team using SBAR during hand-offs.
• Documents nursing care in IPOC and follows Watson Model of Care.
• Participates in discharge planning and care coordination.
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance in unit operations.
