Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian’s ICU Technician - Medicine role is a full-time night-shift position at Columbia University Medical Center. The ICU Technician supports bedside care, draws blood, performs EKGs, and monitors vitals while assisting nursing staff, contributing to a high standard of patient comfort and safety.

The role requires prior Nursing Attendant experience, completion of relevant training, and collaboration with the nursing team to Put Patients First.

Qualifications

• Two years current Nursing Attendant experience in a health care setting.
• Successful completion of a skills inventory of a Nursing Attendant.
• Recent training and/or experience as a Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and EKG procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and blood glucose levels.
• Provide direct patient care and assist nursing staff.
• Collaborate with nurses and nursing attendants to ensure patient comfort and safety.
