Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician for ICU with a Night Shift. You will care for patients, draw blood, monitor vital signs, and work closely with a skilled nursing team to ensure top-quality patient care.

The role is full-time with night hours and rotating weekends/holidays. Live within commuting distance to NYP and be prepared to work on-site as required. Competitive benefits accompany your base pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Direct patient care experience or applicable certification (Patient Care Tech/Nursing Attendant/Medical Assistant).
• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients during ICU shifts and assist nursing staff.
• Draw blood and take vital signs, document findings.
• Be the eyes and ears of the nursing team and communicate concerns.

Description:

Patient Care Technician - ICU - Full Time - Night Shift

Make a lasting impression on patients in urgent need, as a Patient Care Technician. Care for patients while you draw blood and take vital signs-when expertise and customer service makes all the difference.

Accurately measure and record patient vital signs including body temperature, pulse respiration, and blood pressure. Report abnormal findings, put patients at ease and be the eyes and ears of our award-winning nursing team. Collaborate with a team of nurses to earn your reputation every day and Put Patients First.

This is a full time night shift position Rotating Weekends and holidays. Work schedule is a 5 days per work week, 7.5 hour shifts

Required Criteria

• High school diploma or GED

• Previous direct patient care experience or applicable certification (Patient Care Tech/Nursing Attendant/Medical Assistant)

• Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association required
