Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Grand Blanc, MI, seeks an Assistant Manager of Patient Care Services for ICU and Stepdown. You will oversee the nursing plan of care, direct clinical staff, and coordinate patient care with an interdisciplinary team.

Essential duties include ensuring quality care, leading education initiatives, and promoting evidence-based practice across units. Valid MI RN license and BLS are required; prior charge nurse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree graduate of a Nursing program.
• Current State of Michigan RN license.
• One year of prior work experience in Acute care nursing within the past year and previous charge nurse experience/Clinically appropriate experience.
• BLS certification from AHA/ARC/Canadian equivalent, valid at least 60 days beyond start date.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the nursing plan of care for patients within the unit(s).
• Direct patient care through leadership of the patient care team.
• Coordinate patient care using staff, equipment and supplies.
• Promote collaboration regarding patient care issues with staff at all levels.
• Ensure staff participation in orientation and continuing education.
• Mentor staff and maintain quality and evidence-based practice.
• Monitor quality of care and implement improvement action plans.
• Delegate and supervise patient care and maintain regulatory standards.
