Job summary

MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, IA is seeking a Part-Time RN to join the multidisciplinary care team on rotating shifts. You will deliver patient care using the nursing process, uphold professional standards, and collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff.

The role emphasizes planning discharge, teaching patients and families, and guiding LPNs and aides. Light travel within the unit may occur; expect competitive wages, day-one benefits, and a relocation

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state of Iowa.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or graduate from an accredited RN program required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Previous experience in acute care preferred.
• Preferred CCRN certification (Magnet approved).

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents patient needs with the multidisciplinary team.
• Develops and updates the plan of care including discharge planning.
• Guides patient care activities using clinical/critical thinking and evidence-based practice.
• Provides daily direction to LPNs and CNAs.
• Delivers teaching plans to meet patient/family learning needs.
• Communicates patient changes to colleagues and caregivers.
• Attends meetings and maintains 80% attendance with some in person if available by webinar.
• Supports staffing needs and manages resources with schedule adaptability.
