Job summary

Vail Health ICU is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our night-shift team in the hospital's busy ICU. This full-time, year-round role is based in Vail, CO and focuses on delivering expert, compassionate nursing care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• One year of critical care experience strongly preferred.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Colorado or from a valid compact state.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily patient flow to optimize care, safety and satisfaction.
• Prioritizes incoming patient requests for services.
• Delivers patient education to facilitate plan of care and informed healthcare choices.
• Delegates care appropriately according to Colorado statute.
• Demonstrates competent healthcare assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Handles high telephone volume of patient requests for medications and information.
• Administers medications, performs treatments, and assists in procedures.
• Coordinates patient care with other disciplines to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Delivers service using Relationship-Based Care to advocate for safety and preferences.
