Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift at our Columbus, NC facility. You will conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families to promote understanding and adherence.

Collaboration with the care team and timely documentation are essential. The role requires an RN license, Associate's degree in nursing (Bachelor's preferred), and BLS; Neonatal/ACLS as unit requires.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) required
• BLS/ACLS/other certifications may be required per unit/state

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, regularly evaluating and revising as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, medications and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
• Evaluate care plan effectiveness and adjust for better outcomes.
• Ensure infection control and safety compliance.
• Provide emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and families.
• Supervise and delegate care to healthcare team members.
• Engage in professional development and performance improvement.
• Respond to code situations to stabilize patients.
