Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our 12-bed ICU unit at Mount Pleasant. This part-time role (24 hours/week) involves night shifts with weekend/holiday rotation, delivering high-acuity care and coordinating patient plans with a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates bring ICU or stepdown experience, an accredited nursing program, RN licensure, and BLS. ACLS and NIHSS are encouraged within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.
• Lead with evidence-based practice and strong communication to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience.
