Job summary

Jefferson Health Northeast seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide patient- and family-centered care using the nursing process, addressing physical, emotional, and social needs across diverse patient populations. This full-time night shift role involves collaborating with inter-professional teams to deliver safe, high-quality care.

Responsibilities include implementing evidence-based care, educating patients and families, coordinating discharge plans, and contributing to safety and quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered care and cultural awareness.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and team members.
• Knowledge of patient assessment, care planning, and education.
• Medication administration and safety awareness.
• Discharge planning knowledge and collaboration.
• Health information documentation practices.
• BLS certification (AHA/Red Cross).
• RN license in PA.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience; Critical Care/ICU preferred.
• Shift: Full Time/Nights - 36 hours weekly.
• Floating between Bucks, Frankford, and Torresdale.

Responsibilities

• Interact with co-workers, patients, families, and staff per Jefferson values.
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical expertise with patient preferences and culture.
• Educate patients and families on learning priorities, treatment, and recovery steps.
• Minimize harm by following established nursing practices and protocols.
• Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, and reduce errors.
• Monitor care outcomes and apply quality improvement methods.
• Work within inter-professional teams with open communication and respect.
• Respect patient preferences, priorities, and cultural beliefs.
• Create an environment of belonging and inclusion;problem-solve and resolve conflicts.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth and act as a preceptor when appropriate.
• Participate in hospital and practice-based safety and quality committees.
• Accept and incorporate feedback to improve practice.
