Job summary

Independence Health System Inc. seeks an ICU Registered Nurse for steady night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) in the ICU. You will provide direct nursing care to acutely ill medical and surgical inpatients and participate in performance improvement activities using the nursing process.

Responsibilities include effective communication, adaptability, and involvement in quality improvement initiatives. Current PA RN license and ACLS/CPR certifications within one year of hire are required, with CCRN

Qualifications

Minimum: Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program.
Preferred: Bachelor Degree in Nursing, CCRN.
Current PA RN license, Healthcare Provider CPR, ACLS within one year of hire/transfer, and Act 33/73 clearances.
Minimum: Clinical rotation through educational program.
Preferred: Prior med-surg experience and arrhythmia interpretation. Critical Care experience including IABP, IV insertion, care of the ventilator patient, ABG’s, Swan Ganz, Arterial Lines, care of the post open heart patient, and care of the patient requiring CRRT, ACLS, and PALS.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to ICU patients.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives and use the nursing process in care provision.
Demonstrate effective communication, flexibility, and ongoing professional growth.
Participate in Rapid Response Team and Cardiac Arrest Team as assigned.
