Job summary

Detroit Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU in Detroit, Michigan. This PRN night-shift role involves leading nursing care for a patient group with independent judgment and collaboration across teams.

The RN will monitor progress, prepare for discharge, and work with physicians to maintain high-quality care. Michigan licensure and AHA BLS are required; BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing is required.
• BSN is preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Michigan is required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS is required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care.
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patients for discharge.
• Reports to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making.
