Job summary

Detroit Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU in Commerce Township, Michigan. The role covers nursing care, leadership, collaboration with the care team, and ongoing professional development within a busy ICU setting.

Responsibilities include coordinating with physicians, delegating and evaluating patient care, and ensuring successful discharge planning, while adhering to AHA BLS requirements and Michigan RN licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Michigan required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians and other health care providers.
• Delegates, assesses, provides and evaluates patient care.
• Provides and delegates patient care activities to team members.
• Monitors patient progress and prepares patient for discharge.
• Reports directly to senior unit management and participates in shared decision-making activities.

Education

Graduation from a school of nursing required.

BSN preferred.
