Job summary

Medical City Denton seeks an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts. The RN coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, ensuring adherence to state practice standards and established nursing models.

The role requires current TX RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and ICU experience; BSN preferred with a plan to obtain BSN within two years. This hospital emphasizes safety, outcomes, and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; BSN preferred; BSN will be required within 2 years of employment.
• Registered Nurse license, eligible to practice in TX, required
• Current BLS and ACLS upon hire (AHA or ARC)
• Previous ICU experience required

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents care in the patient record promptly.
• Teaches patients/families about condition, status, plan, medications and side effects; translates medical terms for understanding.
• Educates on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as diet and exercise; prepares patients for self-management.
• Supports quality improvement initiatives to meet/exceed safety and care standards.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver holistic patient treatment plans.
