Job summary

UP Health System - Marquette, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU. This full-time 0.9 FTE night shift (6 x 12-hour nights, 7-7) includes rotating weekends and holidays.

The ICU has 24 beds with capabilities across cardiac, neuro and CRRT programs in a Level 2 trauma center. As an ICU RN, you will plan and administer care, document actions, monitor patient status, and educate families.

Qualifications

• Requires current Michigan RN license.
• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and other medical care.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines including transfers and discharges.
• Provides patient/family education appropriate to age and condition.
• Advocates for patient physical and emotional well-being.
