University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit on night shift (36 hrs/wk, 0.9 FTE) with a new hire incentive. The role requires Michigan RN licensure, BLS/CPR, and ICU-capable skills, with ACLS/PALS preferred and deadlines for certification.

You will assess patients, plan and implement care, educate families, and ensure safety and quality in a high-acuity setting. Nights require teamwork and strong clinical judgment.

Qualifications

• Michigan RN licensure is required.
• BSN preferred but not mandatory.
• Current BLS/CPR is mandatory for hire.
• ACLS/PALS credentials preferred with time-bound deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Assess patient condition and discharge needs.
• Develop and implement a care plan with goals.
• Perform nursing procedures and assist physicians.
• Evaluate patient response and modify care plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families on care and safety.
• Document information accurately in the chart.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
