Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Michigan is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intensive Care Unit on a per diem basis. The RN coordinates total nursing care, participates in patient and family teaching, and collaborates with the care team to uphold professional standards.

Required: active Michigan RN license, BLS, ALS within 3 months, and 6 months of ICU experience preferred. Per diem schedule, weekends required, and ongoing ongoing education is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved registered nursing program.
• Current Michigan Registered Nurse license.
• BLS Certification.
• ALS certification within three (3) months of hire.
• Six months ICU/CCU experience preferred or meet internal criteria.
• Complete basic dysrhythmia course within one (1) year of date of accepting position.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients and participate in patient and family teaching.
• Provide leadership by working with nursing and patient team personnel to maintain professional standards.
• Uphold ethical standards and comply with regulatory bodies (ANA, HCFA, MIOSHA).
• Demonstrate core values in interactions with patients and colleagues.
