Job summary

Allegheny Health Network Jefferson Hills ICU is a 20-bed critical care unit led by an intensivist and APP staff with telemedicine support, serving diverse critical care populations. The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care while ensuring safety, quality, and patient-centered care under hospital policy and HIPAA.

The minimum requirement is PA RN licensure (or eNLC multi-state), with preferred specialty certification.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through eNLC.
• Certification in area of specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Team player who contributes to building the team by mentoring staff and supporting colleagues.
• Assigns or delegates tasks based on patient needs and staff skill level while maintaining safety.
• Promotes patient safety and participates in department quality initiatives.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care as prescribed by the physician and hospital policy.
• Maintains patient and family satisfaction and adheres to HIPAA and privacy policies.
