Job summary

Allegheny Health Network’s ICU at Jefferson Hills is a 20-bed unit serving diverse critical care populations. The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care and is fully responsible for all actions as a licensed nurse.

The unit operates under an intensivist and APP staff 24/7 with telemedicine support. Jefferson Hospital is Magnet-recognized for nursing excellence, with private patient rooms and generous benefits for full-time and part-time employees.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multistate licensure via eNLC is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Act 34, Act 33 and FBI fingerprint background clearances are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Mentors and supports team members to ensure patient safety.
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care according to physician orders and hospital policy.
• Promotes patient safety and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
• Communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team and families.
