Job summary

HCA Florida West Marion Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ICU. You will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and the care team, using established nursing models.

Responsibilities include patient education, documentation, and collaboration to improve outcomes. Florida RN licensure and ACLS/BLS compliance are required, with 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow‑up measures.
• Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about post-discharge care, lifestyle changes, and self-management.
• Manages evidence‑based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet quality measures and enhance patient care.
• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan.
