Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking an RN for ICU to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers and the care team. You will advocate for patients and model the organization's values while supporting exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities include performing procedures, documenting care, and teaching patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• RN licensure
• Associate Degree in nursing (ADN) required

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Teaches patients/families/caregivers about medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications and potential side effects, and follow-up measures.
• Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
• Manages evidence-based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet quality measures and enhance patient care.
