Job summary

St. Luke’s Health – Memorial Lufkin is a 279-bed facility in East Texas seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, high-quality care that supports patient recovery.

You will perform assessments, develop and guide care plans, implement treatments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes. Requires ASN, 1 year RN experience, TX RN license, BLS within 14 days and ACLS within 6 months.

Qualifications

• ASN required upon hire
• At least 1 year of RN experience
• Competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire
• TX RN license upon hire
• BLS/CPR within 14 days
• ACLS within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Assessment of patient condition and nursing care to meet physical, psychological and spiritual needs; notify changes to physician.
• Design, direct, evaluate and document plan of care and education; coordinate discharge planning.
• Prepare patients for treatments and procedures; report significant changes to charge nurse/physician; follow safety protocols.
• Reassess patients after interventions and modify care as needed; communicate with team.
• Give and receive bedside reports with family participation for continuity of care.
