Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary's Jefferson City ICU is seeking an experienced RN to provide direct nursing care in a high-acuity setting. This position requires collaboration with an interprofessional team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with a focus on safety and evidence-based practice.

The role features a Day Shift, full-time schedule, and a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. Missouri licensure and BLS/ALS certifications are required, with ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• 1 year of RN experience required - ICU experience preferred.
• BLS HCP certification required; state licenses (IL/MO/OK/WI) and ALS/ENPC/NRP/PALS/TNCC as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Obtains comprehensive data from patient, family and providers to develop a holistic patient picture.
• Analyzes and synthesizes assessment data to determine relevant diagnoses or conditions.
• Identifies optimal outcomes with patient, family and interprofessional team.
• Develops and implements an evidence-based care plan with clinical judgment.
• Coordinates plan implementation with patient, family and interprofessional team; maintains safety.
• Evaluates progress toward goals and outcomes; updates care as needed.
• Communicates effectively with patient, family and team; ensures ongoing education and competency.
• Applies best evidence-based practice to critical care nursing for age-appropriate needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
