Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the day shift to deliver high-quality care and supervise licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants. The role emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and safety within a dynamic hospital setting.

The RN will perform assessments, develop care plans, document care timely, and participate in discharge planning while supporting ongoing professional development and unit collaboration.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH only).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to patient diagnoses through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses in compliance with policy.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission, anticipating discharge needs.
• Communicate changes in patient status among healthcare providers to support continuity of care.
• Supervise ancillary nursing personnel, providing direction, training, and support as needed.
• Contribute positively to the unit’s functioning, aiding in team building and maintaining a supportive work environment.
• Maintain communication with management regarding service needs including supplies and training for efficient care delivery.
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed and engage in professional development opportunities.
