Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for its 30-bed ICU. This full-time day shift (7am–7pm) position is 0.9 FTE in a Level 2 Trauma unit, with every third weekend and rotating holidays. Competitive benefits and a comprehensive reward program accompany the role.

You will provide evidence-based, patient-centered care, coordinating across the continuum and supporting transitions to home or other facilities. IL RN license required; BSN preferred; CPR current.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Current IL RN license.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable with agreement for nurses with less than 12 months of experience to enroll in BSN completion program.
• Current AHA CPR.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts to accommodate staffing.
• Certain positions may need to take call.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate patient-centered care in the ICU.
• Utilize evidence-based practice and clinical decision making to ensure safety and quality.
• Support transitions of patients to home or other healthcare settings.
