Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for a designated group of patients. The RN will coordinate with an interdisciplinary team, ensure quality of care, document care plans, and promote patient independence.

The role requires PA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS or related training, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Travel between Independence Health locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
• ACLS or completion within one year of hire/transfer date.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) approved by American Heart Association.
• Act 33 with renewal
• Act 34 with renewal
• Act 73 FBI Clearance.

Responsibilities

• The RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the care for a designated group of patients.
• Coordinate, direct and actively participate as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team.
• Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Establish patient care goals and teach patient/family to understand condition and self-care skills.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment and assist with patient problems using team strategies.
• Travel locally between Independence Health locations as needed.
