Job summary

McPherson Hospital Inc. in Kansas seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) ICU to provide direct critical care, monitor telemetry, and contribute to ACLS/PALS protocols.

The role requires Kansas RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC within 6 months, and a BSN is preferred. Six months to one year of Med/Surg experience is required; ICU experience is preferred. Day and PRN shifts available to support a high‑acuity unit.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Active Kansas RN license in good standing.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC verification within 6 months of hire.
• ICU Telemetry exam within 90 days of hire.
• Six months to one year of Med/Surg experience; ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs patient care in ICU using critical care nursing process.
• Monitor telemetry and monitor tech; communicate changes to physicians.
• Follow CMS guidelines to meet indicators and improve outcomes.
• Adhere to 6 rights of medication administration and narcotic protocols.
• Provide patient teaching and begin discharge planning on admission.
• Document findings and maintain continuity of care.
