Job summary

Mcpherson Hospital, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the ICU to deliver direct patient care using critical care skills, assess and plan care, and evaluate outcomes for optimal patient results.

The RN will monitor telemetry, administer medications, educate patients, and coordinate with physicians and staff. Kansas licensure is required; ACLS, PALS, TNCC within 6 months; 6 months–1 year Med/Surg and 3–5 years ICU preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year nursing program or equivalent.
• BSN preferred.
• Licensed Kansas RN in good standing; BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in ICU using the nursing process.
• Monitor and coordinate care with telemetry and monitor tech.
• Administer medications per 6 rights and established protocols.
• Provide patient teaching and begin discharge planning at admission.
• Communicate patient condition changes to physicians and staff.
• Document findings for continuity of care.
